Welcome to Bessie Rhodes Magnet School Music!
Thank you for visiting my teacher website. I put this site together to facilitate communication between myself and students/families of Bessie Rhode Magnet School. I am elated to be able to teach music at Bessie Rhodes School and am very grateful to the district and families for having me as your interim Music Specialist.
I have an undergraduate degree in Music Performance (Piano) and a graduate degree from Drake University in teaching with certification in Music and ESL. After graduate school, I moved to Illinois where I taught ESL Music in Buffalo Grove for PK-8th grades over the summer. I have been a substitute teacher for Evanston Township High School and District 65 for a year, where the latter included a long term position at Willard and Kingsley elementary schools. I accompany soloists and ensembles and give private lessons with specialties in piano, voice, and French Horn.
